Mrs Megan Thorn is a Lecturer at the Sydney Nursing School, part of the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health. She is a Registered Nurse and Midwife with over 11 years in academia, focusing on clinical education, professional practice, and workforce wellbeing. Currently, she is undertaking a PhD through the University of Canberra and Canberra Health Services, examining workforce wellbeing's impact on healthcare.
Education: Enrolled in a PhD program (2024–present).
Research Interests: Professional identity, collaborative healthcare learning, and wellbeing's role in nursing/midwifery workforce sustainability.
Affiliations: Member of the Australian College of Nursing, Australian College of Midwives, Climate Action Nurses Australia, and Australian College of Mental Health Nurses. Also affiliated with Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
