Megan Orcholski is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). She holds a PhD in Communication from UWM (2020), an MA in Communication Studies from Minnesota State University (2010), and a BA in Speech Communication/Theater Arts from North Central College (2005). Her research focuses on intersectional communication studies, gender/sexuality studies, forensic communication, and civil liberties discourse.
Orcholski’s teaching career spans over a decade, including adjunct roles at Carthage College (2021-present) and instructor positions at Valley City State University and Concordia College. She has also served as an Assistant Director of Forensics and coached debate teams. Her work blends rhetorical theory with contemporary social issues, as seen in her Tedx Fargo talk on 'No Apology Living' and her 3MT presentation on sexual communication norms.
