Megan Knapp, PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at Xavier University of Louisiana. Her work focuses on community-based public health interventions, particularly in areas of nutrition policy, food insecurity, and health promotion. She has expertise in evaluating policy impacts on child nutrition, school meal programs, and alcohol consumption reduction initiatives.
Her research integrates qualitative and quantitative methodologies to assess institutional practices, including studies on restaurant beverage policies, pandemic-era school feeding challenges, and community asset mapping for maternal and child health resources.
