Dr. Megan Kelly is a Lecturer in Medical Sciences (Physiology and Pathophysiology) at the University of Wollongong's School of Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences, holding a Scholarly Teaching Fellowship since 2022. She previously held roles including Lecturer in the Graduate School of Medicine (2020–2022) and Associate Research Fellow at the Illawarra Health & Medical Research Institute (2016–2019).
Her research focuses on maternal and fetal health, particularly identifying biomarkers for early diagnosis of pregnancy complications and assessing long-term cardiovascular and diabetic risks post-pregnancy. Key areas include preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and postpartum health outcomes. She also explores extracellular chaperones' roles in proteostasis and neurodegenerative diseases.
