Megan Fortenberry is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice & Science at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. She serves as a Weekend Clinical Pharmacist at Kentucky Children's Hospital, focusing on general pediatrics and the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Dr. Fortenberry contributes to education by co-precepting APPE students, PGY1 residents, and PGY2 residents, while teaching in the Pediatric Pharmacotherapy elective course.

Recent publications highlight trends in pediatric clinical pharmacy, including cost analysis of diagnostic tools, opioid safety, and re-emerging nutritional deficiencies. Dr. Fortenberry actively participates in the Pediatric Pharmacy Association (PPA), leading subcommittees focused on training and membership development.
