Megan Farr is a Lecturer in Publishing at Bath Spa University within the School of Writing, Publishing and the Humanities at Newton Park campus. She serves as Module Lead for Publishing for Good and The Children’s Book Market and teaches on Create Lab, leveraging over 20 years of industry experience in children's publishing PR and marketing.
Her academic qualifications include:
- MA (Hons) English Language and Literature from Glasgow University
- Cambridge/RSA CELTA certificate
Dr. Farr's research focuses on publishing ecosystems in small nations, particularly Welsh children's literature and translation. She is completing a KESS2-funded PhD at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David titled 'Strategic Action for Internationalising the Children’s Publishing Sector in Wales', examining strategies for independent publishers in national contexts.
She actively contributes to scholarly communities through memberships in the International Research Society for Children's Literature (IRSCL) and International Board on Books for Young People UK (IBBY UK), while maintaining professional fluency in Italian and French with ongoing Welsh language studies.
