Meg Cavalier is an Adjunct Professor in the Education department at Bethel University's Graduate School, teaching in the M.A. programs for K-12 Education, Special Education, and Education (M.A.). She holds a B.A. (2005), M.A. (2008), and Ed.D. (2013) from Bethel University. Currently serving as Executive Director of St. Paul City School, a charter district for 550 students, her career spans roles including elementary Special Education teacher, secondary science teacher, private school principal, and Minnesota Zoo educator.
Her research focuses on environmental education, place-based learning, and educational leadership. Notable works include Embracing College and Career Readiness (2017) and Outward Bound programs in American high schools (2013 dissertation). She frequently presents at conferences like the National Green Schools Conference and Minnesota Association of Charter Schools.
Her professional contributions include advisory roles at Bethel University, Hamline University, and Concordia University. She actively engages in initiatives like the Minnesota Green Schools Coalition and Friends of the Mississippi River collaborations.
