معرفی
Mee Seong Im is an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University. Her research focuses on geometric and categorical aspects of representation theory, topological quantum field theories, and Lie (super)algebras. She holds a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has authored numerous papers in algebraic geometry, quantum topology, and mathematical physics.
Education:
- PhD in Mathematics, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- MA in Mathematics, University of Georgia
- MPhil in Mathematics, University of Birmingham
- BSc in Physics and Mathematics, University of Georgia
Research Interests: Geometric representation theory, Lie algebras/superalgebras, TQFTs, categorification, algebraic geometry, and their connections to mathematical physics and K-theory.
Recent Work: Contributions include studies on foam cobordisms, periplectic Lie superalgebras, and TQFTs over Dedekind domains. Collaborations with Mikhail Khovanov and others explore categorical structures and their applications in topology and algebra.
