Md Shahidul Islam is an Associate Professor, Discipline Lead, and Course Coordinator in Health Management and Public Health at the School of Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of New England (UNE), Australia. With over 20 years of international academic and research experience across Asia, Europe, and Australia, he plays a pivotal role in shaping public health education and research at UNE.

His recent publications reflect a strong trend in pandemic impacts, mental health systems, health equity, and One Health integration. He frequently collaborates with researchers across disciplines and countries, contributing to over 80 peer-reviewed publications and two books.
