معرفی
Maša Surić is a Full Professor at the University of Zadar, affiliated with the Department of Geography. Her research focuses on paleoclimatology, karstology, and speleothem-based environmental reconstructions.
- PhD in Natural Sciences (Geosciences/Geology, 2006, University of Zadar)
- MSc in Natural Sciences (Oceanography, 2002, University of Zagreb)
- BSc in Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology (1995, University of Zagreb)
Her work spans interdisciplinary studies of Quaternary climate variability, isotopic analysis of cave deposits, and geohazard assessments in karst systems. Key projects include VENTSPIS (cave ventilation effects on environmental records) and collaborations on REQUENCRIM (speleothem isotopes for paleoclimate studies).
Recent publications highlight her expertise in speleothem geochemistry, CO2 dynamics in cave atmospheres, and holocene climate reconstruction using isotope methods. She actively contributes to global speleothem databases and cave monitoring protocols.
Professor Surić teaches courses on Basics of Geology, Oceanography, and Paleoclimatology. Contact: msuric@unizd.hr, Office 27, University of Zadar.
