Dr hab. Małgorzata Sacha is a Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology of Religion at the Institute of Religious Studies, Jagiellonian University. She holds a habilitation in humanities (2012) and focuses on psycho-cultural interfaces, religious symbols, and gender studies in Indian religions. Her research integrates psychoanalysis, religious studies, and cultural anthropology, particularly addressing gender dynamics and new religious movements inspired by Asian traditions.
- Education: Philosophy graduate from Jagiellonian University's Faculty of Philosophy.
- Research Interests: Psychology of Religion, Psychoanalysis, Gender Studies, Hinduism, Kashmir Shaivism, and Human/Animal Studies.
- Projects: Visiting Professorships at Sapienza University of Rome (2018, 2016), research on guru figures in Indian diaspora, and studies on gynephobia in Indian culture.
Her work bridges philosophical, anthropological, and psychoanalytic perspectives to explore religious experiences, cultural symbolism, and socio-emotional mechanisms. Current research emphasizes gender in Indian religions and intersections with Animal Studies.
