Małgorzata Pawlak

Małgorzata Pawlak is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Painting and Drawing, Institute of Fine Arts, Faculty of Arts of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS). After completing her doctoral studies in 2023, she defended her PhD with distinction at Lublin's Galeria Biała in 2024. Her work bridges art with science, particularly exploring intersections between painting and natural sciences.

Research interests focus on:

• Interdisciplinary art-science collaborations
• Conceptual art practices
• Eco-critical art and urban ecology
• Materiality and experimental painting

Exhibition highlights include international residencies at Les ateliers des Soeurs Macarons (France, 2017) and Atelier Salzamt (Austria, 2019), along with over 50 collective exhibitions and conceptual projects. Key exhibitions: Secondary Archive: Women Artists in War (2024), Biol-Chem (2022), and Drobiazgi (2024).
