Małgorzata Dubrowska

Dr. hab. Małgorzata Dubrowska, Professor at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, is a leading scholar in German-Jewish literature and memory studies. She chairs the Department of German-Language Literature and Culture (2011-2014, 2018-2019) and coordinates literature seminars on post-Shoah narratives and migration literature.

Her research focuses on Discourse of memory in literature, German-Jewish literature of second/third generation post-Shoah authors, and GDR literary analysis. Recent publications analyze transnational memory spaces in 3G prose and autofictional migration narratives (2023-2024). Earlier work includes 'Rekonstruktion als Kategorie' (2019), examining post-Shoah generational literature.

Awarded the Rector's Team Award (2018), she serves as editor for academic journals and reviewer for habilitation theses. Supervised 20+ diploma theses on topics including post-migrant identity and NS-Gedenkkultur.
