Dr. Mayra Picos Lee serves as Senior Lecturer in Counseling and Director of the Master of Theological Studies (MTS) in Latino/a Ministries program at Palmer Theological Seminary, Eastern University, while also holding the position of Board President for the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America~Bautistas por la Paz.
Her research centers on pastoral counseling within Latino communities, immigration dynamics, and the intersection of globalization, colonialism, and peacebuilding. She has developed experiential learning through annual travel courses across Latin America to examine socioeconomic justice issues, alongside active engagement in interfaith dialogue and Christian hospitality initiatives.
Complementing her academic work, Dr. Picos Lee maintains a private marriage and family therapy practice in Devon, PA, specializing in services for immigrants, bicultural families, women, and historically disempowered populations.
