Mayngan Stone is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at Chapman University's Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences. She joined the faculty in January 2020, bringing 16 years of diverse clinical experience as a Physician Assistant. Fluent in Vietnamese, she has worked across pulmonology, hematology/oncology, urgent care, general surgery (including robotic procedures), dermatology, and hospitalist medicine.
Professor Stone holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis, and a Master of Science from Western University of Health Sciences.
Her research interests center on physician assistant education, interdisciplinary healthcare delivery, and clinical practices in hospital medicine, surgery, and dermatology. She emphasizes training students to navigate the broader healthcare ecosystem alongside doctors, therapists, and pharmacists.
At Regal Medical Group/Lakeside Medical Group, she was a key member of an Interdisciplinary Team focused on reducing hospitalizations through coordinated care. Now at Chapman, she mentors future PAs with a focus on holistic patient care and teamwork.
