Dr. May Tee, MD, MPH, FACS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Howard University College of Medicine and serves as the Program Director of the General Surgery Residency at Howard University Hospital. She is a board-certified surgical oncologist with advanced fellowship training in Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic, and Complex Gastrointestinal Surgery from the Mayo Clinic. Her clinical expertise includes minimally invasive and robotic approaches to liver, pancreatic, biliary, gastric, and gastrointestinal cancers.
Dr. Tee earned her medical degree and completed general surgery residency at the University of British Columbia, followed by a Master of Public Health in Quantitative Methods (Clinical Epidemiology/Biostatistics) from Harvard University. Her training and career reflect a strong integration of clinical excellence, public health, and surgical innovation.
Her research focuses on surgical oncology outcomes, health disparities in cancer care, quality improvement, and the application of minimally invasive techniques in complex surgeries.
