Maxx Arguilla

Maxx Arguilla is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), with a joint appointment in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. He leads the Maxx X Lab, focusing on experimental low-dimensional condensed matter chemistry, particularly in solid-state chemistry, materials physics, and nanoscience. His research explores the synthesis and properties of quasi-1D van der Waals crystals, helical nanostructures, and confined materials.
