معرفی
Dr. Maxwell Rudolph is an Associate Professor in the Earth & Physical Sciences department at the University of California, Davis. His research focuses on geological fluid mechanics, mantle dynamics, and cryovolcanism on icy moons like Enceladus. He holds a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley (2012) and previously worked at Portland State University (2014–2017) before joining UC Davis.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Science, UC Berkeley (2012)
- Bachelor's degree from Oberlin College and Conservatory
Research Interests:
Dr. Rudolph investigates mantle wedge dynamics, global mantle convection, and analogues between mud volcanoes and magmatic systems. His work on Enceladus explores subsurface ocean evolution and cryovolcanic processes. Recent projects include modeling plume dynamics and studying the Lusi mud eruption in Indonesia.
Awards & Grants:
No specific awards or grants listed in provided materials.
Labs & Teams:
He leads the Rudolph Lab, which focuses on geodynamics, volcanic processes, and planetary geology. The lab explores mantle structure, eruption mechanics, and icy satellite geology.
