Maxwell McGee is an Associate Professor of Communications at Post University, where he teaches both online and on campus. Alongside his academic role, he is a nationally recognized voice actor with extensive industry experience, featuring in commercials (e.g., CT Lottery, McDonald’s, Coors Light), radio, TV, anime, and video games. His career began at age 19 when he substituted for a sick actor in a radio commercial, leading to a prolific voice-over career. He has also directed award-winning short films, including one showcased at the Cannes Film Festival at 21.
McGee holds a bachelor’s degree from New England Tech (2016) and has designed over 30 courses across various institutions, covering voice acting, video production, and graphic design. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the profound impact of the human voice in communication, explored in his dissertation on the history of vocal significance. He prioritizes student engagement, aiming to inspire transformative learning moments.
Though celebrated in voice acting, McGee considers teaching his greatest passion, influenced by his mother’s 40-year career as a first-grade teacher. He aspires to transition to full-time academia, valuing the community-driven environment at Post University.
