Maxine Fromm serves as a Junior Assistant Professor and PhD Candidate at Utrecht University's Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development within the Faculty of Geosciences. She is actively affiliated with the Energy & Resources department, conducting research on industry sustainability transitions while teaching Environmental Law and Innovation Project 2.

- LLM in Banking Law and Financial Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science
- LLM in Law & Sustainability from Utrecht University
Dr. Fromm's research examines complex justice dimensions in industrial decarbonization, specifically addressing intergenerational equity, profit redistribution, and global value chain impacts through transdisciplinary frameworks. Her work emphasizes proactive policy design by synthesizing knowledge from government, industry, and civil society stakeholders via the Sustainable Industry Lab initiative.
