Maxime Fabre is a Lecturer in Information and Communication Sciences at the University of Angers (UCO Laval), coordinating the L2 'multimedia journalism and social networks' program. He holds a PhD from Celsa (Sorbonne University) and the University of Liège, where he is also a member of the Centre for Semiotics and Rhetoric. His research focuses on journalism, digital technology, visual semiotics, and the epistemological dimensions of media objects. He leads projects like Numapresse (international journalism), TRANSNUM (digital studies at Sorbonne), and EMILA (migration representation). His work includes books like Press Photography. Regimes of Belief (2020) and L'essentiel de la culture numérique (2024), and articles in journals such as Communication & Langues and Signata. Awards include the 2013 International Excellence Award and a nomination for the Assises Internationales de Journalisme (2021). Teaching covers media ethics, organizational communication, and semiotics.
