Max Gillman is the Friedrich A. Hayek Professor of Economic History at the University of Missouri–St. Louis (on leave during 2024-25) and holds a part-time Research Professor position at Corvinus University of Budapest. He also serves as a Visiting Researcher at the National Bank of Slovakia. Gillman earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago, with prior academic roles including Professor of Economics at Cardiff Business School (UK) and positions at Central European University in Budapest and CERGE-EI in Prague.
