He actively supervises PhD students in Economics and teaches courses such as Advanced Microeconomics (EC4025) and The Global Economy (EC1506).
His research combines theoretical modeling with experimental design, addressing topics like choice overload, urgency effects, and satisficing behavior. Notable contributions include studies on duopolistic competition, price competition dynamics, and procedural models of decision-making. Papi’s work bridges behavioral insights with classical economic frameworks, emphasizing real-world applicability.
Papi is affiliated with research centers such as the Aberdeen Centre for Research in Energy Economics and the Environment (ACREEF). He collaborates on interdisciplinary projects, including those analyzing labor markets, global supply chains, and sustainable financial systems in China. His teaching and research reflect a commitment to understanding how bounded rationality shapes economic outcomes at both individual and market levels.
