Mauro Becker

Mauro Becker is a Professor of the Practice at Texas A&M University, specializing in sedimentology, stratigraphy, and reservoir geoscience. He holds a PhD in Geology from The University of Texas at Austin (1993-1996), an MSc from Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto, Brazil (1983-1984), and a BSc from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil (1977-1981).

His research focuses on sedimentological and stratigraphic characterization of deep-water reservoirs, including turbidite systems, fluvial deposits, and carbonate reservoirs.
