Maurizio SELVA

Maurizio SELVA is a Full Professor and Director of the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. His research focuses on organic chemistry, green chemistry, and sustainable materials, particularly in the areas of catalysis, CO₂ utilization, and biowaste valorization. He leads initiatives in converting renewable resources into high-value chemicals and materials, emphasizing eco-friendly methodologies.

SELVA’s academic roles include membership in the University Scientific Instrumentation Service Center Management Committee and the Academic Senate. His work spans both fundamental and applied research, with a strong emphasis on industrial collaboration for scalable green technologies. Recent projects include developing carbon-based nanocatalysts, optimizing CO₂ insertion reactions, and creating biomaterials from marine and agricultural waste.
