Maurizio Colecchia

Maurizio Colecchia is an Associate Professor of Pathology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, affiliated with IRCCS San Raffaele. His research focuses on urological and testicular pathologies, emphasizing applied pathology, molecular diagnostics, and clinical collaborations. He holds leadership roles in international societies like the European Society of Pathology (ESP) and chairs the European Society of Uropathology (ESUP).

Education includes a Medicine degree from the Federico II University of Naples and specializations in Anatomical Pathology and Neuropathology. He has extensive clinical experience, including directing the Department of Pathology at Lodi Hospital and leading the Uropathology Unit at the IRCCS National Cancer Institute in Milan.

Research interests span prostate, testicular, and renal tumors, with contributions to the WHO Classification of Urinary and Male Genital Tumors and AIOM guidelines. Over 20,000 urological specimens have been analyzed under his expertise. He actively participates in consensus conferences and editorial boards, including Pathologica.
