Francesco Pierconti is Associate Professor of Pathological Anatomy at UniCamillus. He obtained his Degree in Medicine and Surgery from Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome (1995), specialization in Pathological Anatomy (1999), and PhD (2003) from the same institution. Previously, he served as a medical director at Catholic University from 2000 to 2018.
His research focuses on urogenital pathology, neuropathology, and haematopathology. He maintains editorial board positions for Diagnostics (Basel), Analytical and Quantitative Cytopathology and Histopathology, and Pathologica journals.
Professor Pierconti is a member of the Italian Society of Surgical Pathology (SIAPEC) and Italian Group of Uropathology (GIUP), and contributes to clinical guidelines through the Associazione Italiana di Oncologia Medica (AIOM).
