Maurizio Capuana

Maurizio Capuana is a Researcher at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), affiliated with the Institute of Biosciences and BioResources (IBBR-CNR), Florence Division. He holds a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences from the University of Gent (Belgium) and has been in a permanent CNR position since 1996. His research focuses on plant biotechnology, particularly in vitro culture techniques for phyto-remediation, conservation of plant genetic resources, and cryopreservation. He has supervised numerous theses and contributed to national/international projects like the EC-funded 'Improving Fraxinus Productivity' and 'Cypress' initiatives.
