Loredana Abbate

Loredana Abbate is a Researcher at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), specifically within the Institute of Biosciences and BioResources (IBBR-CNR), Division of Palermo. Her primary role involves plant biotechnology and genetic improvement, focusing on citrus, grapevine, and ornamental plants. She holds a PhD in Agricultural Science from the University of Palermo and has extensive experience in plant tissue culture, mutagenesis, and cytology.

Her research interests include somatic hybridization, flow cytometry, and the application of biotechnological methods to enhance plant resistance to pathogens.
