Maureen A. Conard is a Professor of Psychology in the College of Arts & Sciences at Sacred Heart University, where she previously served as Department Chair. Her research explores the interplay between personality and performance in academic and workplace settings.
- Education: Ph.D. and MA in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from the University of Connecticut; BA in Psychology from Providence College.
Dr. Conard's research focuses on personality's role in stress, university admission, personnel selection, and how interruptions impact workplace performance. She also investigates cognitive and non-cognitive attributes in Doctor of Physical Therapy student outcomes.
Her recent publications examine leader emergence, multitasking efficacy, and competency modeling. Themes include personality assessment, organizational behavior, and educational evaluation.

Dr. Conard mentors undergraduate and graduate students in research projects, guiding presentations at conferences and Sacred Heart’s Academic Festival. She advises students pursuing Industrial and Organizational Psychology careers in business contexts.
