معرفی
Mattias Åstrand is a Researcher at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology within the Unit for Bio-Opto-Nano Physics. His work focuses on X-ray optics and nanofabrication, particularly the design and implementation of Fresnel zone plates for advanced diffraction imaging techniques. He collaborates with beamline staff at NanoMAX (MAX IV) and the P06 group (PETRA III, DESY) to develop novel imaging setups.
- Master's degree in Nanoscience
- Doctoral studies at KTH in X-ray optics
- Expertise in cleanroom nanofabrication
- Active in student representation and advocacy
His research bridges nanotechnology, optical physics, and synchrotron radiation applications. Beyond technical work, he organizes PhD student activities as Event Manager for the PhD Chapter (THS) and contributes to improving opportunities for non-Swedish-speaking students through KTH's language committee.
