معرفی
Professor Mattias Richter is a leading academic at Lund University's Department of Physics, specializing in Combustion Physics and Laser Diagnostics. His work bridges fundamental and applied research in energy transition technologies, gas turbines, and sustainable fuels.
Education: Ph.D. in Physics (2002), focusing on optical diagnostics for engine development.
His research explores 2D/3D species imaging, high-speed diagnostics, and phosphor thermometry in reacting flows, spanning from chain saw engines to marine propulsion systems. Recent trends emphasize sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), plasma-assisted combustion, and advanced optical diagnostics for emission reduction.
Scientific Awards:
- Tanasawa Award (2012)
Richter has supervised 15 Ph.D. students and participates in major EU projects on engine/gas turbine development. Grants include funding from the Swedish Energy Agency for hydrogen combustion research (2025-2029). He manages high-speed optical diagnostics infrastructure and contributes to Lund University's Energy Transition and Photon Science profile areas.
