Mattias Ehn is an Affiliated Researcher at the Department of Health Sciences, School of Health Sciences, Örebro University. He also works clinically as a psychologist at the Deafblind Team, Habilitation & Health in the Stockholm region, and serves as an expert psychologist at the National Knowledge Center for Deafblind Issues (Nkcdb), funded by the National Board of Health and Welfare.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) in Disability Science
- Licensed Psychologist
Research interests focus on deafblindness and health, particularly the intersection of work, life strategies, and health outcomes among individuals with Usher syndrome. Current projects investigate health and support interventions for deafblind populations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previous studies explored life strategies, social trust, and financial situations in Usher syndrome patients.

Advising/Grants: Active in multidisciplinary deafblind research networks and leads key projects without listed advisees. Collaborations include the Audiology Research Center at Örebro University Hospital.
