Dr. Mattias Borg is a Senior Lecturer and Principal Investigator at Lund University's Faculty of Engineering (LTH), affiliated with the NanoLund Centre for Nanoscience and the Electromagnetics and Nanoelectronics department. His research focuses on nanotechnology for neuromorphic computing and electronics, including ferroelectric memristors and III-V semiconductor integration. He teaches courses on memory technology for machine learning and electronics fundamentals.
- PhD work on antimonide nanowires
- Co-inventor of Template-Assisted Selective Epitaxy (TASE)
Research interests include developing ferroelectric tunnel junctions for neuromorphic systems and exploring 3D heterointegration methods. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to innovation and infrastructure.
- Lead PI for the Swedish Research Council-funded 'Ferroelectric Tunnel Junctions at the Ultimate Scaling Limit' (2024–2028)
- Recipient of the Göran Linds Pris (2019) and SSF ICA-7 award (2017)
Advises on multiple projects, including master's theses on memristor-based neuromorphic systems and semiconductor integration. Collaborates with IBM and international institutions on nanoelectronics.
