Matthieu FRAPPART is a Lecturer at the Department of Chemical Engineering - Process Engineering, University Institute of Technology of Saint-Nazaire, University of Nantes. He serves as the Training Referent for the Bachelor of University Technology (BUT) in Chemical Engineering - Process Engineering through apprenticeship. His academic responsibilities encompass thermodynamics, thermal exchange systems, unit operations (distillation, extraction, filtration, crystallization), environmental treatment technologies, and industrial refrigeration principles.
His research centers on membrane separation processes with a focus on hydrodynamic influences for performance optimization. Key applications include microalgal cell harvesting and fractionation of bioactive metabolites. This work is conducted through the CNRS-affiliated laboratory UMR 6144 GEPEA at the CRTT (Research Center for Thermal and Thermodynamic Sciences) in Saint-Nazaire.
