Matthias Wrede

Professor Matthias Wrede holds the Chair of Economics, especially Social Policy at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) within the Department of Business, Economics, and Social Sciences. Previously, he served as Professor of General Economics and Public Finance at RWTH Aachen University (2002-2007) and held the Chair of Economics with a focus on Public Finance at the University of Marburg (2007-2010). He is an active researcher with numerous international collaborations and affiliations including CESifo Research Fellow and membership in committees for Public Finance, Regional Theory and Policy, and Social Policy of the Association for Social Policy.
