Prof. Dr. Matthias Wilde is affiliated with Bielefeld University's Faculty of Biology and serves as a Director in BiSEd (Bielefeld School of Education). His research focuses on Biology Education, Science Didactics, and Student Motivation, particularly in experimental learning environments and digital scaffolding. Key projects include DiLernProfis (digital diagnostic tools for adaptive teaching) and LFB-Labs-digital (teacher training in digital science labs).
His work explores how autonomy-supportive teaching, role play, and gamification influence student engagement.
