Matthias Weissenbacher

Dr. Matthias Weissenbacher is a Research Scientist at RIKEN AIP, focusing on generalization in Reinforcement Learning (RL). His academic journey began in mathematical physics, with a Master's from ETH Zurich and a PhD from the Max-Planck Institute for Physics in Munich, specializing in string theory. Transitioning to AI during his postdoctoral work at the University of Tokyo's Kavli IPMU, he now develops innovative RL algorithms leveraging symmetries of system dynamics.
