Matthias Sweet

Matthias Sweet is an Associate Professor and Co-Director of the TransForm Research Laboratory at Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Urban and Regional Planning. He holds a PhD and advanced degrees in related fields. His research focuses on transportation policy, travel behavior, urban economics, and the integration of Big Data/GIS methods into planning practice.

Key research interests include the future of mobility (e.g., automated vehicles, telework, and ride-sharing), transportation-land use interactions, and sustainable urban development. He leads applied projects analyzing emerging mobility technologies and their societal impacts.
