Prof. Matthias Grunwald is a Professor of Urban Planning and Urban Design at HTWK Leipzig's Faculty of Architecture and Social Sciences, a position he has held since 2015. His academic journey includes architecture studies at TU Braunschweig (1984-1986) and a diploma specializing in urban planning from TU Darmstadt (1986-1990) under Prof. Thomas Sieverts.
His research focuses on urban systems transformation, including:
