Matthias Franz is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics, University of Western Ontario. His research focuses on Algebraic Topology, particularly group actions on manifolds, toric varieties, and equivariant cohomology.
- Developed computational tools: Convex (for convex geometry) and Torhom (for homology of toric varieties).
- Co-organized workshops at the Fields Institute, Banff, and Konstanz on toric geometry and topology.
