معرفی
Ana Maria Botero is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Bielefeld, where she has been employed since April 2023. Previously, she held postdoctoral positions at the University of Regensburg (2018-2023) and TU Darmstadt (2017), and served as a Substitute Professor at Heidelberg University in 2022.
Her research focuses on the interplay between algebraic, arithmetic, complex, tropical, and convex geometry. Key areas include:
- Toric and toroidal varieties
- b-Chow groups and intersection theory
- Chern-Weil theory and Arakelov geometry
- Monge-Ampère measures and convex analysis
- Combinatorial aspects of polyhedral spaces
Botero's publications (2019-2025) demonstrate consistent focus on geometric structures with combinatorial foundations, particularly exploring toric schemes, equivariant cohomology, Siegel-Jacobi forms, and convex decompositions. Recent work emphasizes connections between tropical geometry, valuation theory, and non-Archimedean methods.
