Matthias Fischer

Matthias Fischer is a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg, Germany, where he has led a research group since 2017. His work focuses on virophages, giant viruses, and their interactions with marine protists. He has held various positions at the Max Planck Institute since 2011, including postdoctoral fellow and project leader.
