Matthew Walker

Matthew Walker is a Professor of Neurology at University College London (UCL), specializing in Clinical & Experimental Epilepsy. He holds appointments in the Department of Clinical & Experimental Epilepsy and leads several professional organizations, including Chair of the International League against Epilepsy-Europe and Chair of the Trustees of Epilepsy Research UK. He completed his medical training at the University of Cambridge and St. Thomas's Medical School, followed by neurology training at St Thomas's, Guy's, and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. His PhD (1997, UCL) focused on status epilepticus treatment under Professors Shorvon, Patsalos, and Jefferys. He established his independent laboratory at UCL in 2003.
