Matthew Thomas

Matthew Thomas is a Researcher at the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology within the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London. His work focuses on integrating statistical methodologies with public health and environmental applications.

His research interests include:

• Spatial and spatio-temporal statistics
• Bayesian hierarchical models
• Environmental health and air quality
• Disease burden estimation

Prior to joining Imperial, he completed his PhD at the University of Bath, where he developed Bayesian models for global air quality assessment and collaborated with organizations like the World Health Organization and the Department of Pharmacy & Pharmacology at the University of Bath.
