Matt Smolinsky is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Art in the Department of Art and New Media at the University of Maine. His expertise spans digital art, new media, and photography, informed by a professional background in documentary photography and commercial work.
- Education: BS in Communication from Boston University, MFA in Photography from Maine Media College
Smolinsky has taught at the Maine Media Workshops since 2006, managed their Young Artists Program, and created the Photo Treks expeditionary documentary program for 8th graders in 2008. He co-founded the non-profit arts organization Obscura in 2009 and mentors through institutions like the Farnsworth Art Museum and Catholic Charities of Maine. His artwork is internationally exhibited and represented by Kim Young-Seob Gallery in Seoul.
