Matthew Schauf serves as the Head Coach for Men's and Women's Cross Country and Assistant Coach for Men's and Women's Track & Field at the University of Wisconsin-Stout within the Athletics Department. He also instructs Physical Education courses and coordinates aquatics.
His educational background includes:
- M.S. in Information & Communication Technologies from the University of Wisconsin-Stout
- B.S. in Elementary & Middle Level Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville
Schauf's professional focus is on Physical Education and Athletics, with expertise in coaching cross country and track & field, and teaching wellness, league sports, bowling, and walking/jogging. He emphasizes developing student-athletes both competitively and academically.

- 22 Midwest All-Region Honors in Cross Country
- 13 National Qualifiers and 7 All-Americans in Cross Country (including a 2012 National Champion)
- 15 USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams and 22 All-Academic Individuals in Cross Country (through 2015)
- NCAA DIII Indoor Fourth Place Team (2012) and Outdoor Third Place Team (2012) in Track & Field
- 25 National Qualifiers and 15 All-Americans in Track & Field (including 2012 Indoor 5K and Outdoor 5K/10K National Champions)
