Matthew Reed serves as an Adjunct Professor in Psychology, Sociology, and Wellness at Southern New Hampshire University since 2016 while concurrently holding the roles of Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator for Macalester College Scots football team since 2019, entering his seventh season in 2025.
His educational background includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from Southern New Hampshire University (2012)
- Master's degree in Sports Coaching and Psychology from the United States Sports Academy
Academic expertise spans Psychology, Sociology, and Wellness, integrated into his online teaching. In football, he revolutionized Macalester's offense, breaking 20 school/team records: quarterback Michael Nadeau achieved career records of 9,936 passing yards and 84 touchdowns, while receiver Rex Desso led NCAA in receptions per game (10.0) in 2021.
