Matthew Pauley

Dr. Matthew Pauley is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship & Sustainability at Middlesex University's Faculty of Business and Law, Department of Marketing, Enterprise & Tourism. With a doctorate from the University of St Andrews and over a decade of global teaching experience, he specializes in micro/small business exits, sustainability, and innovation. He has held visiting roles at institutions like Dublin City University and TU Berlin.

His research focuses on entrepreneurial exit strategies, sustainability practices, and the intersection of health/wellbeing with business ownership. Key areas include cultural food heritage preservation and investor psychology analysis. He currently teaches courses on new venture development and international entrepreneurship, supervises PhD candidates like Rhoderick Romano, and has authored over 20 publications across academic journals and teaching resources.
