Matthew Nielsen is an Academy Research Fellow affiliated with the University of Helsinki and the Organismal and Evolutionary Biology Research Programme within the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences. His research focuses on ecological and evolutionary responses to environmental changes, particularly urban adaptation and climate stress tolerance.
- Current project: PLASTI-CITY (2023-2027) funded by the Research Council of Finland
